Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go. ~ E. L. Doctorow

The Soundtrack of My Hypothetical Life

Flake. One word description of yours truly. I'm currently caught in a tug-of-war between life and prepping for NaNoWriMo. The focus on my fiction writing tends to monopolize my time. The blog suffers.

In the meantime, check out the soundtrack my iTunes shuffle compiled. Alex @Magpie Writes inspired me to gain insight into my "musical proclivities." I found it quite interesting, even when a song at first glance didn't seem to fit the category. The randomness for the most part is dead on and often times hilarious.

Love your playlist!

My soundtrack tells exactly what music I listen to - classic rock from the eighties and top forty from today. It's a weird mix, but it works for me.

Thought about NaNo... even joined it. Then rethunk it. No. It's an impossible thing for me. I have too much else I want to do.

Wish you good luck, however.

Good luck with the nano. That sounds like a fun challenge.

Nice—I like the mix. Especially your wedding song!

Interesting mix! Sounds like a fun way to think through the day, or my writing project! I'm gearing up for NaNo too . . . and finding it hard to finish up my last project.

I like your choices. I have no soundtrack. There's usually so much singing in my head I have to room for outside tunes. :)

I like your picks, me I mix it up all the time. I go from rock, jazz, classical, metal and indie. Yeah, I like chaos and confusion ;D

I think your sound track and my soundtrack should date. They'd make cute babies. I was amazed, when I posted it on my site, how many people said they can't write with music. I can't write without music!

Nice to meet you, I came by from Alex's. Music is so important I think and speaks volumes about our mood.
